Harness Energy is currently seeking a qualified individual to add to our team in the position of Lead Field Technician:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work within and ensure strict adherence to all safety procedures
  • Lead crew of 3-4 people
  • Perform installations, operations, maintenance and technical support to achieve safe, cost effective operation and maintenance of MET systems with minimal supervision
  • Maintain and troubleshoot MET systems, data acquisition systems and communications
  • Assist in the administration of field operations in areas such as development of operating procedures, environmental reporting, sub-contractor oversight, field support and inventory
  • Perform/direct housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean safe work environment and professional appearance
  • Serve operations officer by analyzing work orders, planning daily schedule, preparing equipment for field work, resolving problems, performing risk assessments and risk mitigation planning
  • Establish service by studying system requirements, ordering and gathering components and parts, completing installation, performing acceptance tests, remaining within boundary of permissible work areas, complying with all environmental and on-site permits
  • Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs 
  • Document service and installation actions by accurately completing forms, reports and logs
  • Maintain customer confidence by keeping service information confidential
  • Meet financial objectives by scheduling, documenting/reporting expenditures and initiating corrective actions

Job Requirements:

  • Self-motivated with strong work ethic
  • Ability to maintain positive attitude and work well as part of a team
  • Detail oriented in all aspects of the position
  • Ability to travel at length on short notice 
  • Valid passport 
  • Clean driving record
  • Education:  B.S. or B.A. preferred, GED required
  • Experience:  2+ years MET system construction and crew management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to hike 2-3 miles with equipment (50 lbs.) through rugged terrain 
  • Basic electro-mechanical knowledge and ability to follow wiring diagrams
  • Experience with and understanding of extreme all-season remote work requirements
  • Experience with GPS and orienteering
  • Tower climber and rescue certification preferred, must be comfortable working at height
  • Experience with remote sensing units (SoDAR and/or LiDAR) preferred

Position is full-time, and will be paid hourly to start. 85% travel, 15% office and warehouse work. Position reports to Project Manager and Director of Operations.

The home office is located in Denver, CO. If applicant does not currently reside in CO, relocation would be expected upon hire.
